Laval Virtual Asia was born from the vision of two ambitious communities, Qingdao Laoshan District People’s Government and Laval Virtual, who wanted to combine their expertise and values through anVR/AR international event. Carried by the knowledge of Laval Virtual pioneer in the sector for over 20 years, Qingdao, the city of light, has the willing to become a major player in the VR/AR business by injecting 500 million euros over 10 years for its development: dedicated real estate, incubator, support for startups, etc. A substantial investment supported by the local authorities which bet a lot on the evolution of the market, which could reach 80 billion dollars by 2025.

Laval Virtual

In the 20 years of its existence, Laval Virtual has established itself as a major facilitator for organisations in the VR/AR and immersive techniques sector. It gathers and leads a community of professionals through the organization of events and conference programmes in Europe and Asia and provides various information services. Last year at Laval Virtual 2019, the show welcomed over 300 exhibitors spanning 9,000 m2, involving over 150 speakers and attracting more than 18,000 visitors over 5 days. The next show will take place from 22nd to 26th April 2020.

The Laval Virtual Center (France, Laval) benefits from its unique location around which higher education institutions, research laboratories, technological platforms and uses of the virtual world revolve. Thanks to new services (sectorial watch, creativity sessions, advanced training, research & technology, consulting & business analysis) but also thanks to the expertise of CLARTE, the first French Virtual Reality technology transfer centre in 20 years, the Arts et Métiers engineering school and Laval Virtual, any company wishing to accelerate its projects in Virtual and Augmented Reality will be able to do so at Laval Virtual Center to increase productivity and efficiency.

In 2018, over 133 exhibitors from 22 different countries took place in the event. The second edition of Laval Virtual Asia was held from 27 to 29 September in Qingdao, China, and was a great success.
